The data controller is UAB Transona, company registration number 304536450, at Dubysos g. 37, Klaipėda. EcoTrip is the company’s transport and logistics service brand.

02 / DATA WE PROCESS

The data we process depends on how you use our services

• Enquiries and contact: name, surname or company name, email, phone number, customer type, selected service, route and information in your message.
• Orders: sender and recipient contact details, addresses, load details, order and payment information, and communications related to the service.
• Careers: introductions sent by email, contact details, CVs and other application information. Applications are sent directly to the responsible staff by email, not through the website enquiry form.
• Website use: IP address, browser and device technical data, security and server logs, cookie choices and, if you consent, analytics data.

Please do not include special-category personal data or information that is unnecessary for your enquiry or order in your message.

03 / PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASES

• To respond to enquiries, prepare quotations and take steps before entering into a contract.
• To accept and fulfil orders, deliver shipments, communicate with senders and recipients, and administer payments.
• To meet accounting, tax, postal, transport and other legal requirements.
• To protect the company’s legitimate interests: keeping services and systems secure, handling claims and managing disputes.
• To assess job applications and contact applicants about work opportunities.
• To use optional analytics or marketing cookies only where consent has been given.

Depending on the situation, we process data on the basis of entering into and performing a contract, a legal obligation, legitimate interests or your consent.

04 / DATA RECIPIENTS

We share only what is necessary

Data may be received by EcoTrip staff, carriers or other partners involved in providing the service, and IT, hosting, email, accounting, payment and professional service providers. Where required by law, data may be provided to public authorities.

Service providers process data under a contract and our instructions, or act as independent controllers under the laws applicable to them. If data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we apply the safeguards required by the GDPR.

05 / RETENTION PERIODS

No longer than necessary

We retain enquiry data for as long as needed to respond, continue communication and substantiate decisions. Order, accounting and contractual data is retained for the periods required by law and for as long as claims may be brought or defended. Job application data is retained during recruitment, and longer only on a separate legal basis or with consent.

Technical log and cookie retention periods depend on the security purpose, tool settings and your choices. At the end of the retention period, we delete or anonymise the data unless the law requires us to keep it.

06 / COOKIES AND ANALYTICS

Essential data keeps the website working. Analytics is your choice.

Your choice. You can allow essential data only, accept all, or choose visitor analytics and advertising measurement separately. We store your choice on this device for 180 days in the browser’s local storage under ecotrip_consent_v1. This is not an advertising cookie. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the website footer.

Visitor analytics. Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager are enabled only with your consent. They help measure page visits, clicks and successfully submitted enquiries, using cookie identifiers and technical information about the page, browser and device. We do not send names, phone numbers, email addresses, messages or attachments entered in the form to analytics. Google cookies _ga and _ga_… may be stored for up to 2 years. Detailed GA4 event and user data is retained for 14 months. The user data retention period resets on a return visit. This period does not apply to aggregated standard reports.

Advertising measurement. When visitor analytics is enabled and you separately consent to advertising measurement, Google Ads can link visits and actions to advertising. Clicking the booking button is not counted as a completed shipment order. This choice does not enable personalised advertising.

Declining or withdrawing consent. Google measurement tools are not loaded without consent. Withdrawing consent stops further measurement and removes measurement cookies accessible to this website. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. See Google’s privacy policy for information about the provider’s data processing.

Essential functions and shipment booking. Technical functions needed for login, security and saving your choice operate independently of analytics preferences. Shipment booking takes place on a separate ordering subdomain; the cookie choice on this website does not change that system’s settings.

Website security. We use Wordfence to detect and block malicious requests and unauthorised login attempts. IP addresses and technical request and login data are processed for this purpose. Security information may be shared with the Wordfence service provider. This is not visitor analytics or advertising measurement. See the Wordfence privacy policy for more information.

You can control your data

You have the right to:

• access the data being processed and obtain a copy;
• request correction of inaccurate data or completion of incomplete data;
• request deletion or restriction of processing where applicable;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests;
• withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal;
• receive the data you provided in a structured format where the right to data portability applies;
• lodge a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate.
