01How do I book a shipment?

Book your shipment using the online EcoTrip booking system. For unusual cargo, a large number of items or additional services, start with a short enquiry — we will help you choose the right service.

02What information do I need to provide when booking?

Provide the sender’s and recipient’s names, full addresses and postcodes, working telephone numbers, the number of packages, their weight and dimensions. For furniture, appliances or other non-standard items, add a photo and tell us about stairs, lifts, restricted vehicle access or anything else we should know.

03How will I know my booking is confirmed?

The booking system provides the price, booking confirmation and shipping label. The exact delivery date is confirmed once the final route has been planned. We usually send the tracking link on Tuesday for shipments collected in Lithuania; on Friday for collections or deliveries in the United Kingdom; and on Wednesday for shipments delivered in Lithuania after arriving from the United Kingdom. If you have not received a confirmation or tracking link, contact our team.

04What if I cannot weigh my shipment?

Enter the closest weight estimate you can and make sure you provide the dimensions. We can check the actual weight if necessary, but the final price may be recalculated using the measured figures.

05What if I cannot print the shipping label?

Clearly write the sender’s and recipient’s details, contact telephone numbers and order number from your booking on a white sheet of paper. Attach it securely to the package. The information must remain legible throughout the journey.

06How long does delivery between Lithuania and the United Kingdom take?

LT–UK deliveries usually take 4–6 calendar days. We confirm the exact delivery day after finalising the route, not at the time of booking. Traffic, weather and customs procedures may affect the timeframe.

07On which days do LT–UK services operate?

In Lithuania, we collect UK-bound shipments on Tuesday and Wednesday and depart on Wednesday. In the United Kingdom, we collect and deliver on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Shipments returning from the UK are delivered in Lithuania on Wednesday and Thursday. Delivery usually takes 4–6 calendar days; the exact date is confirmed after the final route is planned. Check that we serve your collection or delivery address when booking.

08How is the LT–UK shipping price calculated?

We calculate the price by weight and by volume and apply the higher amount — we do not add the two together. Provide the weight and all package dimensions when booking. Examples are available on our pricing page. You will see the exact price when you book your shipment.

09What information is needed for the customs declaration?

Provide an itemised list, quantities, values, weights and the sender’s and recipient’s details. Customs requirements depend on the direction of travel and the cargo; sending as a private individual does not in itself provide an exemption. The customer prepares the documents, or customs broker assistance is arranged in advance. Business shipments require the relevant commercial, customs and transport documents. The sender is responsible for the accuracy of the information.

10Can you buy an item in the United Kingdom on my behalf?

Yes. By prior agreement, we can act on the buyer’s behalf, collect an item or help arrange payment to the seller. Before buying, send us the product link, price, seller’s location and contact details. We will confirm what we can do and the cost of the agreed services.

11How do I use EcoTrip’s UK shopping address?

Before buying, check EcoTrip’s current UK receiving address. Once the seller gives you a tracking number, register the purchase in the EcoTrip system. Your full name and tracking number allow us to identify the delivery. Agree storage time, charges and combined delivery of several purchases in advance. Find out more about our UK shopping address.

12Can several purchases be combined into one shipment?

Yes. Items from different shops can be collected and sent together, provided we can clearly link them to the same customer and order. Tell us you would like to combine purchases before the goods arrive at the warehouse.

13What does door-to-door delivery mean?

Standard LT–UK collection and delivery takes place at an agreed location with safe vehicle access, such as outside a house or garage. Usually one driver arrives; the shipment must be packed and ready to hand over beside the vehicle. Carrying items upstairs, taking them out of a property and providing additional staff must be agreed separately before booking.

14How is the delivery time agreed in Lithuania?

We confirm the timing based on both addresses, the cargo and the planned route. Same-day delivery is not a standard service. Tell us your preferred deadline in the enquiry and our team will check what is possible.

15Do you transport goods between Lithuanian cities?

Yes. We transport parcels, pallets, furniture, appliances and other goods throughout Lithuania and between cities. The price and timeframe depend on the route, cargo and any additional work required.

16Do you deliver between cities within the United Kingdom?

No. EcoTrip does not provide domestic transport solely within the United Kingdom. Our UK services cover parcels, freight and removals between the United Kingdom and Lithuania.

17Do you arrange removals in other European countries?

For removals in other European countries, a dedicated vehicle is assigned to the whole order. Send the addresses, an inventory or photographs, your preferred date and access details. We will confirm availability, the team and the total price individually.

18Can you transport a pallet?

Yes. Provide the pallet’s length, width, height and total weight, together with the collection and delivery addresses. Tell us whether loading equipment is available at both locations. Non-standard or heavy pallets require individual confirmation.

19How should I pack my shipment?

Use strong outer packaging, fill empty spaces and protect the contents against impact and movement. The package must be fully closed and its contents must not put other shipments at risk. Detailed examples are provided in our packing and labelling rules.

20Which packaging is not suitable for safe transport?

Thin film, paper bags, light plastic bags or fabric alone are not suitable outer packaging for items that could be damaged by impact or pressure. Use a strong box, case, pallet or other protection appropriate to the weight of the goods.

21How should I prepare fragile items?

Wrap each fragile item separately, keep it away from the walls of the box and fill all empty space. Mark several sides of the package as fragile and indicate which way up it must be kept.

22How should I pack liquids?

Tighten lids securely, place each container in an additional leakproof bag and use absorbent material inside the box to contain leaks and prevent movement. Before booking, check whether the liquid is permitted for transport.

23What are the size and weight limits for a shipment?

The general packing rules specify a limit of 500 kg per package and dimensions of up to 4200 × 2000 mm. However, large or heavy cargo always requires separate agreement and must be prepared for safe mechanical loading.

24What size vehicle is used for removals?

We use 3.5-tonne-class goods vehicles. Cargo can be up to 4.2 m long and 2 m wide; suitability in terms of height and loading is confirmed separately. The load may weigh up to 1.2 tonnes, without exceeding the specific vehicle’s permitted payload. The 3.5-tonne figure refers to the maximum authorised vehicle mass, not the allowable cargo weight.

25Does the driver load and unload the goods?

LT–UK services usually have one driver. Pack your items and have them ready at a location accessible by vehicle. Packing, furniture dismantling or assembly, carrying items upstairs and additional staff must be agreed in advance; these services are not automatically included.

26Can I book a two-person crew?

If you need two people, send photos, dimensions and weight of the item, plus details of stairs, lifts and vehicle access. In Klaipėda or along an existing route, two staff members with a vehicle cost EUR 45 per hour, with a minimum charge of EUR 45. In the UK this is not a standard service; availability, staffing and pricing are agreed separately.

27Can I book an additional mover?

In Klaipėda or along an existing route, two staff members with a vehicle cost EUR 45 per hour. The minimum order charge is EUR 45. Travel to a more distant location and additional work are priced separately by agreement. In the UK, a two-person service is not standard; availability and pricing are agreed individually. See our pricing page.

28Can you carry items upstairs?

Yes, if this is agreed in advance and the item can be carried safely up the stairs or taken in the lift. Tell us the floor, lift dimensions, narrow doorways and the item’s weight. Very heavy or unusual items may need extra staff or specialist equipment.

29Do you transport motorcycles and scooters?

Yes. Include the vehicle’s model and condition, collection and delivery addresses and a photo in your enquiry. Loose parts must be secured before collection. We will confirm the preparation and securing requirements after reviewing the order. Find out more on our special transport page.

30What information is needed to transport a piano or grand piano?

Provide the instrument’s make and model, approximate weight or dimensions, both addresses, floor numbers, lift dimensions, stair and doorway widths, and photographs. This helps us assess the staff required, access to the instrument and the transport price. Find out more on our special transport page.

31Do you remove old furniture and appliances?

Yes, but we confirm individually which items we can remove and how they will be handed on. Tell us what needs removing, the floor, whether there is a lift and whether dismantling is required. Photos help us assess the work more quickly. Find out more on our special transport page.

32What is a part load?

A part load does not fill the vehicle’s entire cargo space and can travel with other compatible shipments. The price and timing depend on the route, volume, weight and flexibility, so provide the dimensions, addresses and preferred date. Find out more on our special transport page.

33What determines the final price?

Four main factors determine the price: the route, cargo weight and dimensions, the required timing and additional work. Inaccurate booking details, longer waiting times, extra work identified on site or a larger load may change the final amount.

34Do the prices include VAT?

We confirm the total payable and any VAT applicable to your order in the booking system or quotation. LT→UK and UK→LT tariffs are in different currencies and must not be treated as an exchange rate. Business transport is quoted separately.

35Are there discounts for multiple shipments?

Current discounts are: 2 shipments — no discount; 3 shipments — 5%; 4 shipments — 10%; 5 or more — 15%. Submit all shipments together for assessment. The discount applicable to your order and the final total are confirmed when you book or contact the team.

36Why might the price be recalculated?

The price may change if the actual weight, dimensions, package count, address or scope of work differs from the booking details. Providing photos and accurate measurements from the start helps us give a more precise quotation.

37Who can pay, and which payment methods are accepted?

Either the sender or the recipient can pay. As agreed, payment can be made by bank transfer, card, QR code or cash. We confirm when payment is due at the time of ordering. Deferred payment is available only to business customers with a contract; other business customers pay before delivery. We do not currently require a standard booking deposit.

38Can I arrange additional cargo insurance?

EcoTrip holds carrier’s liability insurance (CMR). This does not automatically insure your cargo for its full value. If you need additional cover, provide the type of cargo and evidence of its value before booking. Availability and terms must be confirmed separately before collection.

39Which items are prohibited?

We do not accept items prohibited by the transport terms, including weapons, explosives, illegal drugs, cash, alcohol, tobacco, medicines, animals and perishable products. Check the full list in our transport terms. For batteries, liquids or other cargo requiring special care, provide a precise description before booking.

40What should I do if I notice damage on delivery?

Inspect the packaging and cargo while the courier is still present. Photograph visible damage and record it on the consignment note or in the electronic system used for the delivery. Contact EcoTrip as soon as possible and keep the packaging and all handover documents.

41How do I make a claim?

Email us at info@ecotrip.lt and include your order number, a description of what happened, photographs, evidence of the cargo’s value and any notes made at delivery. Deadlines, liability limits and the claims process are set out in our transport terms.

42What if I need to change or cancel an order?

Contact us as early as possible and provide your order number. If you ask us to return cargo that has already been collected, both the original transport and the return journey are normally payable. If the shipment has not yet left Lithuania for the UK, we may consider waiving the return charge individually; this is not automatic. We confirm the arrangements and amount for each order separately. See our transport terms and the specific agreement.

43Where can I find the full transport and packing terms?

These short FAQ answers are a useful starting point; the full conditions are set out in the transport and packing terms. Please read the transport terms and packing and labelling rules. If anything about your situation is unclear, contact us before handing over the cargo.

44When do you respond to enquiries?

Lithuanian time: Monday–Thursday 08:00–19:00, Friday 08:00–22:00, Saturday 10:00–22:00 and Sunday 10:00–15:00. The same customer service hours apply to Lithuanian and UK customers. During these hours, we usually respond within an hour. Transport operations can also take place at night.

45Can I already book warehousing and cross-docking?

Warehousing is available on a limited basis, subject to individual confirmation of the goods, location, duration and price. Cross-docking and container operations are still being planned. A 600 m² warehouse and 60 m² office are being fitted out at the new site at Sandėlių g. 30, Klaipėda. The move is expected in early 2027, but the final opening date has not yet been confirmed.
